I apologize for the ugly watermark.
I'd like to show this one more clearly, but I'm trying to get in the habit of being more protective of my work. Just the smart thing to do, yeh.

I originally started this drawing as a small free-choice pencil work for Drawing. It evolved into a massive, full-color piece that ended up getting sent to Scholastic and earning an honorable mention. It is to be sent in to next years competition with a partner, which I failed to have completed in time for the deadline.

I love drawing Martin and Matt. ^^ They're my babies.
And, drawing them is an important part of developing their characters, yesyes. Here, we have a scene that represents their morning--Matt is nearly always late (or at least, certainly not early) to his first hour class, which he has with Martin. Martin, on the other hand, always arrives obscenely early--and on his way, picks up some coffee for them both. Matt's bizarrely picky, and refuses to get any coffee whose title contains less than four words. He's a "Chocolate Carmafrappachino with Whip Cream and Sprinkles" kind of guy. >>
So, Martin either gets him his usual or whatever Matt texts him sometime before Martin gets to the small coffee shop where he picks up the orders.

Technical st00f: This took for fricking ever, mostly because of the amount of random medias I had to use and was not used to using. Martin's hair, the longest endeavour, was done with a mech. pencil. All line art was also done with a mech. pencil. Skin was done with the basic skin tone Copic marker. Martin's eyes, Matt's hair, all clothing, the desk, the floor, the wall, and the board were all done with a vast, random assortment of different colored pencils. The shine on Matt's hair was done with careful, strategic erasing.

Total time: FOR FRICKING EVAR. But really? 20+ hours, minimum. No joke. And I'm not counting any hours from the rough draft stages.

To say the least, I'm proud.
